Not a question of age...

Unfortunately, tooth loss does not only affect the elderly: in many cases, a fall or a sports accident can lead to the early loss of a tooth, often even the loss of a front incisor.

Conventionally, crowns are attached to the adjacent teeth without an implant. To do this, the healthy neighbouring teeth need to be ground down (fig. 2). With implants, however, the neighbouring teeth remain intact: a small titanium screw replaces the natural tooth root (fig. 3). Until the implant in the jaw bone has healed, a temporary tooth closes the gap. You'll never walk out of the office with a visible missing tooth! Once the implant has been firmly rooted in the jaw, a dental crown is fixed. Like a natural tooth, the crown becomes nestled in the gum bed (fig. 4).
